Taipei, Taiwan. Just right in front of Exit 5, Dongmen Station, far sight of the skyscraper Taipei 101 stands prominently clear and tall.
Within a short distant from the same exit, the ever-bustling Yongkang Street is well-patronized with locals and tourists, alike.
Yongkang Street is like a market place of restaurants, hotels and small stalls selling Taiwanese snacks. It is also a good hangout for students, especially from National Taiwan Normal University which is only a stone throw away.
The ever first restaurant of Din Tai Fung was said to be originated from Yongkang Street. It is oftentimes having long queue and a restaurant popular in every Asia countries.
One of the must-try street food is Flaky Scallion Pancake, a popular local snack. On the storefront, The small stall is sharing with a bigger restaurant selling Vietnam cuisine. Expect long queue.
